NNENNA ANYIM OKORO

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Nnenna Anyim Okoro is an Executive Director at Keystone Bank Limited. She has over 27 years of experience in financial services across five institutions including three international banks – Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Stanbic IBTC Bank.

Nnenna started her banking journey in banking operations at Diamond Bank Limited (now merged with Access Bank Plc) in 1996 and later rose to the position of Regional Head of Electronic Payment Marketing (North). In 2000, she moved to Standard Chartered Bank as a Personal Financial Consultant before joining Citibank in 2001, initially in Global Transaction Services where she rose to the position of Head of Electronic Banking & Implementations and subsequently transitioned to Corporate Banking as Relationship Manager (Banker).

She advanced to First City Monument Bank in 2008, as the Head of Product Management and Channels in the Transaction Banking Division. She then transitioned to become the Head of Sales and Business Development. In 2013, she joined Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc as the Head of Product Management in Transaction Products and Services for Nigeria and West Africa Regions including DRC and Angola. She moved into Corporate & Investment Banking as the Head of the Consumer Sector – Client Coverage in Nigeria and her role was subsequently expanded to cover West Africa, as representative in Standard Bank Group’s Consumer Sector Leadership Team.

Throughout her career, she has effectively fulfilled roles as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, served as an alternate Board Member of the Nigeria South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NSACC), and has spearheaded numerous Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives including Member of Stanbic IBTC Holding’s Digital Oversight Council and Chairperson for Blue Women Network.

Nnenna holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is a Sloan Fellow at the prestigious London Business School, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc.) Degree in Leadership and Strategy. In addition to her academic achievements, Nnenna attended the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Lagos Business School (Pan African University) in 2008 and successfully completed other executive strategic programs at renowned institutions such as Said Business School – Oxford University UK, INSEAD, Cranfield School of Management UK, and Columbia Business School USA. She is also a published author with Westbow Press USA.
