Hassan Imam is the Managing Director of Keystone Bank Limited. Previously, he held key executive positions at Fidelity Bank, where he served as Executive Director and Executive Compliance Officer (ECO). His wealth of experience comes from a distinguished career spanning more than three decades.
With a diverse background in banking, Hassan’s expertise encompasses Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, SME Banking, Risk Management, Trade Finance, and Transaction Banking. He has effectively chaired several committees like the Criticized Asset Committee (CAC) and the Operational Risk and Service Measurement Committee (OPRISK) where he successfully managed and mitigated operational risks, evaluated asset credit quality, and implemented robust risk management.
Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Hassan holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Business School Netherlands (BSN), an MSc in Treasury Management from Bayero University, Kano, and an MSc in Banking & Finance from Bayero University, Kano. He also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. Further enhancing his leadership capabilities, Hassan completed the Senior Management Program (SMP31) at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University.
In addition to his academic achievements, Hassan has undertaken strategic executive courses at prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School, SAID Business School at the University of Oxford, IESE Business School in Barcelona, Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, among others.
Hassan is an active member of various professional organizations, including The Institute of Credit Administration (FICA), the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), and the Chartered Public Accountants (CPA).
