In line with the Bank’s vision to increase its women financial inclusion index and support initiatives focused on women, the bank in conjunction with Lagos Island East LCDA organized a free bookkeeping skill training and a free medical checkup for women in Sura community.
The Keystone Bank PINK Network, led by Anayo Nwosu, Group Head of Retail/MSME/Value Chain, embarked on a transformative journey within the heart of Lagos Island’s Sura community. The purpose was to uplift and educate women by imparting essential skills and fostering their well-being. This initiative was a dual-purpose event, focused on bookkeeping and health awareness. Women entrepreneurs received a valuable lesson in the art of bookkeeping for effective business management and financial control. The event extended to a free health check-up, conducted in partnership with Medplus. As these women engaged with healthcare professionals, they gained insights into their well-being, while discovering the power of knowledge-driven decisions. The impact was palpable as the community leaders, chiefs, and participants themselves graced the occasion. Thoughtful questions were raised, covering topics ranging from health concerns to business strategies.
As we celebrate the success of this event, we eagerly anticipate expanding this initiative to more communities. Through education, health advocacy, and empowering conversations. We are committed to nurturing the potential of African women, one step at a time.
